We watched the Marfa lights one evening. It is a strange site. Off in the distance, it looks like it could be car lights traveling on a small mountain road. The locals swear it isn't so and that no one knows what causes it.
I've gotten used to it but when we first got to Silverton, it was strange to see lights off in the distance and night that moved....like car lights. Well of course, they really are.
Silverton is in a valley and you come down the mountain to get there. So we are just seeing those lights as someone comes or goes (yes we get red tail lights...never saw those at Marfa). Reminds me of Marfa every time I see them and I still wonder if that's what they are in Marfa!
