Blogging aint for the weak

It's been a while since I've posted... it's far too easy to get distracted with the real business of website creation when there are little things that need to get done.

We've launched a few websites since early September:

  • AGLCC - We built a new website for the gay and lesbian chamber, launching it at their general meeting in September.  It's been a major success, as a new logo was launched at the same time.  Our newest design partner, Cherico Creative, was instrumental in getting the look and feel just right for the unique organization.

Since the site was launched, the site traffic increased dramatically.  In August, there were just over 13,000 page views.  In October, there were 53,000 page views!  And just over halfway through November, the site is on pace to beat that record.  This is easily attributed to the changes made in usability (easier to access menus) and content (more expanded events calendar and membership directory).
  • Kalmar RT - This site was a MAJOR upgrade from their previous site... both in design and functionality.  The site includes a significant password-protected area where their clients can go to access specific information as well as a custom-built database system to manage product warranty claims.
  • Business Network Connection - BNC is currently located in Austin but with expansion plans into Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and beyond, they needed a site that would support that growth.  We redesigned the site to better reflect the professionalism of the BNC system as well as the future plans for growth.

In addition to these sites, there are four others that are in the final stages of content creation which will hopefully be launched soon.  While many businesses slow down during the holidays, the Internet stops for no one!
